Next Thursday’s CitySpeak event will dive deep into the topics of climate change and action, as five panelists from various organizations will present information and action steps for individuals and groups to take to help lessen their environmental impacts while better understanding the bigger picture that is climate change and climate injustice.

Panelists include OSU professor Jillian Gregg, Sustainability Coalition representative Jeannette Hardison, Civil Liberties Defense Center Attorney Cooper Brinson, Post Carbon Institute and Climate Action Plan representative Asher Miller, and 350 Corvallis representative Trish Weber. From pipelines and local activistism, to city action plans and sustainability efforts, these panelists together will paint an integrative picture of what’s at stake, and what we can do.

Each panelist will present information, ideas, and toolkits to the audience, then answer questions from me, Stevie Beisswanger, your host for the evening, as EIC of The Corvallis Advocate. Following moderator questions will be an extended Q&A session for the audience.

This month’s CitySpeak will be at the main meeting room of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan 31. City Speak is brought to you by The Advocate and City Club of Corvallis.
